HAUS of YOLO: Party cabaret. Live sewing. World class circus.
From sell out seasons in Auckland, Hamilton and Taranaki, you are invited into the inner sanctum of renowned fashion label HAUS of YOLO. For one night only, head designer (and part-time conman) Welt Couture will create their latest collection live on stage.
Sit front row as chic creations move from sewing machine to circus routine, giving a new name to fast fashion. Will the costumes be completed before the next act goes on? For once, the circus is not the riskiest thing on stage.
Brought to you by Aotearoa's most daring circus theatre company, The Dust Palace, this ridiculously fun and silly show is bursting at the seams with stunning acrobatics and banging party tunes.
The entertaining blend of comedy, circus and party is perfect for a blast with your besties. Buckle up and get ready to live your fashion fantasy.
You only live once. But if you do it right, once is enough.
“The imperfection of fast fashion is perfectly highlighted in this fun show that is packed with high energy, thrillingly dangerous acrobatics and a perfectly put together soundtrack”
“...absolutely in awe of The Dust Palace’s newly devised show HAUS of YOLO - what an absolute highlight to see this debut”

Te Tangi a Te Tūī
A Te Reo Māori circus theatre epic by Te Pou Theatre and The Dust Palace
2025 Tour
Tauranga, Baycourt: 6 - 7 August
Rotorua, Sir Howard Morrison Centre: 10 - 11 August
Taranaki, TSB Showplace: 14 - 15 August
Whangārei, Forum North: 19 - 20 August
Kerikeri, Turner Centre: 22 - 23 August
He karanga nō te kainga. Pulling us heart first back to the ngāhere.
The Tūī soaks up the world around it and responds in song. Though beautiful, its tune is now a faint echo of what it once was when Aotearoa was blanketed in the ngāhere, flutes of patupaiarehe filled the trees and Māori alone walked gently upon their mother.
Te Tangi a Te Tūī invites you to experience an enchanting and empowering Māori cirque theatre work about adaptation and authenticity. This collaboration between kaupapa Māori theatre company, Te Pou Theatre and circus theatre company, The Dust Palace, is an evocative narrative of love and loss between Māori and the natural world in the face of colonial impact.
After sell out seasons in Vancouver and Tāmaki Makaurau, Te Tangi a Te Tūī is set to tour Te Ika-a-Māui this August. Proudly presented by The Dust Palace, Te Pou Theatre and PANNZ, with support from Baycourt, Sir Howard Morrison, TSB Showplace, Forum North and Turner Centre.
There will be a matinee and evening show in each centre, and kura / school groups are encouraged to contact the theatre near them to access discounted tickets.
“Visually and emotionally powerful”
“Euphoric, melancholic and inspiring Te Tangi a Te Tūī is enchanting. It’s a feast for the senses. A banquet for the soul. A balm for the heart.”
“When we say we want more decolonial theatre, Te Tangi a Te Tūi is exactly what we mean”
