To Weave a People

The Dust Palace Charitable Trust would like to introduce to you “To Weave a People”, a project designed to bring threads of our local youth community together to share their stories and create physical performance from their authentic experience.

To Weave a People is a workshop series with three phases. Initially an outreach process involves The Dust Palace going into community youth organisations to run open circus tasters. The second phase invites our newly interested participants to come to in-house sessions at the dust palace, ending with a showing of creative output at the end of the workshops!

The To Weave a People workshop series is intended to up-skill and connect youth participants, combining the students of our Scholarship Program, their whānau / wider community members, local youth groups and our resident youth company HighJinx. The intention of this project is to gather these communities together to share in their learning, growth and experience.
